Leviticus 18:22 + 20:13 - A Talmud-Style Study Page
On Yom Kippur afternoon, traditional Jews will read a section of the Torah taken from the book of Leviticus, including the infamous verse, 18:22, which is the first of two verses traditionally interpreted to prohibit male-male sexual relations.
Many progressive synagogues have chosen to read a different section of the Torah instead, but not all.
I've created a source sheet with voices for consideration and discussion that is supportive and inclusive. Please feel free to print it out and share while you're at synagogue!
